A new hotel is opening in Strasbourg early May.

The Hotel Cour du Corbeau will open soon in a former inn built in 1580 on the banks of the river Ill. Over the last 300 years the wonderful old house has welcomed guests such as Frederic the Great and Mozart. The building is being restored to its former glory and when it opens in May it will offer 57 spacious rooms in all categories from standard to de luxe.

It is owned by the Sogeho Group which also includes two other hotels in Strasbourg, Le Regent Contades and Le Regent Petite France, with its restaurant and its wonderful Champagne bar located just above the dam. The group is currently working on the restoration of another chateau at Niedernai which will open as a luxury hotel and spa in 2010.
